François du Chatenet has been directing films alongside his photographic practice for many years. His work spans institutional films for the Edmond de Rothschild Foundations, films produced for RSF, documentaries and projects connected to philanthropy.
Moving between commissioned and documentary filmmaking, he approaches each story through observation, encounters and a strong attention to people and place — bringing the same visual language and sensitivity to moving images as he does to photograph
